DAY 3: Things that make you uncomfortable (2013 post)

“Hi, I’m Melinda, and I Hate the Cold”

Let’s be honest here. I’m most uncomfortable in the cold. I could get philosophical about what makes me emotionally or abstractly uncomfortable, but if we’re talking straight up comfort, temperature wins.

You might be wondering, “Why did she move to Wisconsin, then!?”

Well, I decided that I could get downright uncomfortable for a while and experience something new. I also decided that I could invest in some real winter gear, which locals here have informed me… I DO NOT HAVE. (“Ummmm, that ‘coat’ you had on… you’re not planning on using that in the winter, right?” someone asked me.)

I’m going to get through it! I have an awesome, humid, mosquito filled summer to look forward to in the meantime, anyway. ;)
