Just Exactly
By Melinda Williams
I remember just exactly how you were
your eyes
touching them to know
where they were in the darkness
The darkness
that did everything
but hide me
Me, from you
My heart, far too full
to ache
but probably should
When silence said exactly
what was meant
just exactly
A friendship and a love, perhaps
perhaps too precious
for light
And realizing I don’t just remember
i know
just exactly

Tender poem…very touching.
